Administration

Principal, Mrs. Kayla Haas
A lifelong resident of Nauvoo and a proud SPPS alumna herself, Mrs. Kayla Haas brings nearly two decades of dedication to our building. After earning her degree in Elementary Education from Western Illinois University, she began her teaching career right here at Sts. Peter and Paul. Though she briefly stepped away to raise her two beautiful daughters—both of whom also attended SPPS—her heart quickly led her back to our hallways. Over the years, Mrs. Haas has taught everything from Kindergarten through fourth grade, becoming beloved for a teaching philosophy that builds student independence and self-regulation while ensuring that laughter and fun are a part of every single day. Last year, she took a faithful leap of leadership, stepping out of the classroom to become our Principal. Bringing proven leadership, a positive attitude, and decades of educational expertise to the front office, she is doing an incredible job guiding the next generation of SPPS students and staff.

Pastor, Fr. Tony Trosley
Bringing nearly 48 years of priestly experience to our community—including over two decades right here in Hancock County—Father Tony serves as the dedicated leader of Sts. Peter and Paul School and the newly unified Holy Archangels Parish (one church across three beautiful sites). Ordained in 1978, he is a gifted writer, speaker, and spiritual guide who handles everything from celebrating the Sacraments and providing pastoral care to leading parish operations, finances, and facility maintenance. Here at SPPS, Father Tony is especially beloved for his natural ability to connect with our students. He actively teaches Religious Education during Clergy visits, using his incredible gift for making complex spiritual topics easy and engaging for children to understand. His tireless dedication ensures that our school and our parish are always moving forward in faith.

Operations Coordinator, Mrs. Erin Cuthbert
Bringing an extensive legal background and a passion for our Catholic community, Mrs. Cuthbert serves as the Vice Principal and Advancement Director for Sts. Peter and Paul School. A graduate of Florida State University with a B.S. in Political Science and Criminology and a Juris Doctorate in Law, she moved to Nauvoo in 2019 to honor her family’s local lineage and now resides here with her husband and two daughters. Splitting her time between the school and Holy Archangels Parish, she wears many hats! For the parish, she assists Father Tony with financial planning, campaigns, and facility operations. For the school, her leadership drives our advancement efforts through grant writing, marketing, and Diocesan compliance. Whether she is tackling IT projects or assisting Principal Haas with administrative duties, Mrs. Cuthbert is an essential pillar of our SPPS family.
