FAITH FORMATION
"A good school provides a rounded education for the whole person. And a good Catholic School, over and above this, should help all its students to become saints."
Pope Benedict XVI
A Heartbeat of Prayer Did you know that our students pray, on average, eight times a day? Our ultimate mission is to create Leaders for Christ, and we practice this every single day in our classrooms. Faith formation is not just a subject we teach once a day; it is the heartbeat of our school, beautifully sprinkled into every single lesson plan, project, and recess.
Worship & Religious Education Formally, our students engage in religious education daily. On Wednesdays, we are incredibly blessed to have Father Tony, Deacon Tony, and Deacon Dan visit the classrooms to spend time guiding the children. We teach our students how to pray, how to intercede for others, the meaning of the Holy Trinity, and the absolute depth of God's love for them.
We actively live out our faith together. This year alone, our students spent 52 hours gathered in weekly Mass and Eucharistic Adoration! Our students also have regular opportunities to participate in the Chaplet, pray the Rosary, and prepare for their Sacraments.
A United Christian Family While our school is proudly rooted in Catholic teaching and tradition, Sts. Peter and Paul is a joyful, welcoming home for all Christian families. In fact, our current student body is a beautiful blend of 40% Catholic and 60% non-Catholic students! We deeply respect the individual church backgrounds of our staff and students, because what truly unites us is our shared dedication to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.
Service Opportunities Service is a fundamental part of Christian discipleship. We teach our students to look beyond themselves by offering regular, hands-on service opportunities. These include recycling, cleaning the church, altar serving, visiting shut-ins, reading at Mass, hosting food drives, and actively supporting charities like, Make-A-Wish, and the Ronald McDonald House.
