What is the Value of a Catholic Education?

"When a large crowd gathered, with people from one town after another journeying to him, he spoke in a parable: A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path and was trampled, and the birds of the sky ate it up. Some seed fell on rocky ground, and when it grew, it withered for lack of moisture. Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew with it and choked it. And some seed fell on good soil, and when it grew, it produced fruit a hundredfold.” After saying this, he called out, “Whoever has ears to hear ought to hear.” Luke 8:4-8

The Parable of the Sower is a wonderful example of the value of Catholic Education at SPPS. Our promise and mission at SPPS is to provide the fertile soil for the seed to grow and thrive. Our purpose is to develop the whole child. The educational process is an opportunity to cultivate the entire person by engaging the human need for physical, mental, social, and spiritual nourishment. It is the mission of Catholic Schools to do just that.

Why should I invest in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School?

  • The student/teacher ratio at SPPS is 9:1. This means your child gets consistent one and one attention to reach their best potential as a student and as a leader for Christ.

  • We combine grade levels to create an individualized learning curriculum tailored to your child. If your child is excelling at math, our teachers can challenge them with an advanced math lesson. Conversely, if a child is struggling in a subject matter then our teachers can tailor their lesson plans to match the pace at which your child is learning. Our small classroom sizes mean that our teachers get to know your Childs academic needs and can ensure that they are being met on an individualized level.

  • Our School operates as a community rather than a bureaucracy, which links to higher levels of teacher commitment, student engagement, and student achievement.

  • Our school climate, mission, and purpose positively impact student achievement and attendance.

  • A faith-based orientation builds coherence and integration of schools and school community.
