We made a mistake and did not celebrate November Birthday Day on Wednesday. With Halloween and All Saints Day it slipped past us so we apologize! We WILL be celebrating our November birthdays on Tuesday, November 7th. November birthday students may dress out of dress code and we will celebrate them then! Our apologies! Also, Cash Dash tickets will be going home with the oldest student in your family today. Be on the lookout as the Early Bird drawing is coming FAST! Thanks so much!

It has come to our attention that Nauvoo-Colusa and SPPS use the same app to send push notifications and is causing some confusion today. This company (Thrillshare) is using the same phone number to send push notifications to registered families of both schools. This is confusing for our families that have middle schoolers at NC and elementary schoolers at SPPS because notifications for both schools are showing up in the same text thread on your phones. We apologize for any confusion. We have been in contact with NC to request they put "NC or Nauvoo Colusa" at the beginning of their text threads, they understand this is confusing for everyone. Our messages will always say "Sts Peter and Paul" as the first text of the message. NC has no such designation at the front of their messages as of right now, but as I stated they may begin to do so. So, just for future reference, it will say "Sts Peter and Paul" if it is from us. We are going to reach out to Thrillshare to see if there is a way they can differentiate the phone numbers so it is not as confusing to our families with dual kids. For SPPS, tomorrow is a half day, please bring a sack lunch. Dismissal at 1:00, NO Nauvoo Colusa Bus, SPPS bus will run. We apologize for the confusion, thank you to those who have reached out to clarify- you are always welcome to call if you are ever confused.

All school families and parishioners from all our churches are invited to a meeting explaining the first proposal for the Hancock County Catholic Churches. That meeting will be on Wednesday evening, October 4, 7 p.m., at the Sts. Peter and Paul School Gym. This allows us the opportunity to: first, show our unity by all of us attending a single meeting; and second, to break into our individual church groups for reaction and discussion. For everyone: folks, this meeting ranks right up there with the Nauvoo LDS Visitor Center controversy, and the Illini West struggle with a location for a new high school. It's that important. And there is another meeting to follow next spring. Remember: this is a proposal presentation - not a decision presentation. Your thoughts will be most welcome!

Due to the continued high temperatures and heat indexes, SPPS has made the decision to close at 1:00 PM this Friday, August 25th as well. There will not be NC bus service in the afternoon. We again apologize for the inconvenience, however for the sake of the health and safety of our students and staff, this is the best call at this time. Thank you for your understanding and next week is looking to be better!

Due to the excessive heat predicted, SPPS will be closing early Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 1:00pm. We apologize for the inconvenience, however, the children’s safety is our number one priority. We are unsure if there will be Nauvoo Colusa bus transportation as they have yet to make a decision on early outs this week. Please plan on alternate transportation for your child if they utilize the public bus service. We will let you know if this changes. The SPPS bus will be running. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we deal with these heat index issues.
