I know everyone is disappointed with the decision to cancel the Christmas program today. Here’s the reasoning… we have a positive case and because of the various activities last Thursday and Friday (program practice, all school movie, house challenge), students may have been exposed, so we thought it best not to expose anyone outside the school.
We are planning to have school this week because the alternative is to do remote learning and we are trying to avoid that. We know things change quickly, so please monitor your child for symptoms and keep them home if any new symptoms develop.

SPPS Field Trip: We are going to Hickory Grove in Carthage next Thursday morning to sing Christmas carols for the residents. Because of Covid restrictions, we will be outside. Students have a permission form that needs to be returned by next Wednesday; please complete BOTH sides. We will leave school right after Circle Prayer to begin singing at 9:00 am. Please join us if you are available!

This Thursday, SPPS will have a new principal, Mr. Gage Parrish. Gage will be the "Principal for the Day" and has decided to implement some fun things. Students will have a Pajama Day and enjoy a movie. He is taking care of the snack during the movie, and students may bring a blanket, pillow or stuffed animal to watch the movie. A super-fun day!!

Cast members have their costume details and should be here by 1:30 pm.

Just a quick clarification... the GPD Auction is the committee to do the soliciting and collecting of items and the set up/clean up for the auction. We will have a sign up for additional help on the day of the auction at a later date.

There won't be a SPPS bus on Friday, Nov 19 as I don't have a driver. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
SPPS App Update: We now have different notification groups set up (band, SPPS bus, and grade levels). Please go to your settings and under Push Notifications, choose the groups your children are part of and that will allow notifications to pop up when they are sent to that particular group.
