Tomorrow is our last day of school!! Lots of mixed emotions happening today! Families are welcome to join us any time or all day tomorrow. We will go to Mass at 8:30 am followed by our school picnic activities beginning around 9:30 am outside. Please remember to send/bring a sack lunch to enjoy with us at 11:45 am. Dismissal will be at 12:30 pm. SPPS Bus riders - please let Mrs. Wheatley know if your child won't be riding the bus. Thank you!
Sts. Peter & Paul School has the following openings:
• Elementary teacher (full time) Qualifications: Illinois elementary certification; a good Catholic role model.
• Bus driver (part time) Qualifications: Illinois school bus driver licensure, or willing to obtain licensure.
• Marketing & Development Coordinator (part time)
• Lunch server (part time 11:00am – 1:30 pm daily) Pick up prepared lunches from public school, serve SPPS students, and clean kitchen/lunch area

Can't wait to see everyone tonight at Fine Arts Night! Students and staff have been busily preparing to share their artistic and musical talents. Doors open at 5:30 pm for viewing artwork and students will share their musical selections beginning at 6:00 pm (in this order: preK/K, 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th). We will end the evening at 6:30 pm. Please join us and enjoy!

What a beautiful {indoor} May Crowning celebration honoring Mary this morning-Audrey and Emma crowned Mary and there were so many beautiful flowers!
Make sure to check your emails (or junk folder if you don't see it) for an email sent yesterday with a sign up genius link for God's Portion day help. This is the largest fundraiser of the year and any help you can give is appreciated!
We had another Intruder Drill this afternoon with Chief of Police Mike Boley and Patrolman Bryton Hopp. The students did excellent!
A quick reminder to send flowers tomorrow for our May Crowning. Please join us if you're able and pray for no rain!

Annual God’s Portion Day Auction
Sts. Peter & Paul’s Annual God’s Portion Day Auction is coming soon – mark your calendars for Sunday, June 5th! In preparation for this year’s auction, all school families will have the opportunity to contribute to three larger family themed baskets to be sold at the auction.
Think about your family, your sacrifice and how you would like to contribute to this year’s auction and give what you can. Please consider donating an item for one of the family themed baskets or giving a monetary donation.
Basket 1: Splish Splash in the Sun
(Suggestions: sprinkler, water gun, water balloons, kiddie pool, water table, goggles, pool toys, slip n slide, inflatable rafts, sunblock, beach towels, etc.)
Basket 2: Camp Out
(Suggestions: bag chairs, yard games, citronella candles, s'mores,
grilling utensils, cooler, charcoal, firepit, flashlights, sleeping bags, tent,
etc.)
Basket 3: Lego Lovers
(Suggestions: Anything lego goes!)
Please bring donations to the school by Friday, May 6th. All items can be directed to the SPPS office. Please make sure all monetary donations are in an envelope marked “GPD Baskets”.

Reminder: We have to order lunch by 8:30 each morning. If your child is going to arrive after 8:30 am and is planning to eat hot lunch, you must call the office to let us know by 8:15 am. We want to be sure we have enough food. Thank you!
This Friday, March 25, Mrs. Wilson’s 5th/6th grade will present Living Stations, an opportunity for you to “be in the moment” of Jesus’ journey to Calvary. Everyone is invited to attend one of the presentations; a school presentation at 2:15 pm (Livestreamed) or at 5:15 pm, at school, followed by Mass at SSPP church and a Fish Fry at the new KC Hall in Nauvoo.
SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION: Please keep our 2nd graders in your prayers as they prepare for their First Confession on Tuesday, March 22, 7:00 PM. First Communion will be on Sunday, May 1 at the 10:00 AM Mass. Both events will take place at Sts. Peter & Paul Church.
Our second graders receiving these sacraments are Evan Hoelscher, Wil Nolte, Gara Parrish, and Brody Priebe.
REMINDERS:
Monday, March 21st: Crazy Sock Day for World Down Syndrome Day!
Tuesday, March 22nd: Preschool and Kindergarten can wear pajamas or dress casual for winning week 2 of penny wars. Uniform orders also due.
Wednesday, March 23rd: JUNE birthday day. Students who have birthdays in June can dress casual.
Monday is World Down Syndrome Day and we will be celebrating at SPPS with a crazy sock day! Students may wear crazy socks or mismatched socks on Monday, March 21st! Uniform shirts are still required.
Congratulations Preschool and Kindergarten on winning WEEK 2 of Penny Wars!
Students in preschool and kindergarten may dress in pajamas or dress casually Tuesday, March 22nd.
Please check your child's bookbag for a uniform shirt order form. This will be a quick turnaround for due dates with supply looking okay right now for short sleeve tops. They are due TUESDAY, MARCH 22nd. There will be no late orders submitted and this will be the last opportunity to order this school year. Thank you!
Local author, Brent Hickenbottom, will be visiting SPPS on Friday! Look for this note to come home today. If you would like to order one or both of his books, please return the order form with money to school by Friday.
